As the charitable arm of NCAE, the North Carolina Foundation for Public School Children is organizing school supplies efforts to support the school children and teachers who have been devastated by Hurricane Helene. The North Carolina Foundation for Public School Children is a charity quite like none other in how we work through the public school system to specifically help students and school personnel – and in how quickly we respond to needs – in the aftermath of disasters like what Western North Carolina is experiencing. Our goal is to equip students and teachers with the tools and services needed to return to school so learning can continue and communities will have some form of stability that our schools give.
