Fifth grade Perry Browne science students have been busy working together on explaining things they cannot see. They have been discussing and building models to solve problems and rethinking. It has been a challenge but also a lot of great conversation.

Fourth grade science students have been working on electrical circuits for many weeks. They have learned how to wire together circuits in many forms-lighting lights and making motors spin. There has been a lot of troubleshooting and lots of working together to get their challenges complete.

Third grade STEAM students have been working since the beginning of December on using tools and building structures. Then using those structures to put a town together to code their indi cars around. They had a lot of fun coding down each street. We have now moved on to coding on computers with Minecraft so lots to share if you ask your third grader what they are learning
in STEAM.

Too cold for outdoor recess? No problem! 4th graders in Mrs. Finch's class enjoy some good old fashioned games along with the new! Ball and cup, dominoes, cards, Connect 4, a Soma cube puzzle, and some fun STEM activities with gears.

Congratulations to the Middle School and High School Art departments for last night's outstanding art show. The student work was exceptional, and the families and community members who came enjoyed the evening. Students were proud to show their work, and the written explanations of the art were well done and deepened everyone's understanding.
Special thanks to the Art teachers who worked tirelessly to ensure this event was amazing, and all the students whose work was displayed in last night's event.

We are delighted to share that for the first time we will be livestreaming the Design and Drawing for Production (DDP) class ‘Cardboard Boat Race’. This event is the culmination of a three-week project that sees DDP students working in small teams to design, model, and then build full-size cardboard boats to test in the swimming pool. The only materials they can use are cardboard, limited masking and duct tape, one small bottle of wood glue, and a limited quantity of Shellac and Primer! The objective of the test is for boats to complete at least two laps of the pool. More is better!
We will be livestreaming so that parents, guardians, and interested members of the community can watch the event. While it is designed to be fun, it is also test of the design and build quality of the boats. Please join us to see which boats make it, and which go down like the Titanic!!
Please use this link to access the live stream, which we expect to start from 08:45am Friday, January 17th 2025:
