Reality Check (R.C.) teens Maddy Sheeley, Lara Tefft, Adrianna Palmer, and Emma Palmer from Norwich High School participated in Legislative Education Day (LED) today in Albany. LED is a culmination of education efforts of the previous few months bringing together Tobacco Control Program (TCP) contractors, advocates, youth, and community members from across NY state. The goal of the day is to bring home the messages shared about the impact of tobacco use on individuals and communities, the benefits of a comprehensive TCP, the challenges that lie ahead, and the need for continued support. The R.C. Teens met with Chenango County local legislators Senator Oberacker and Senator Griffo on these matters.
Ms. Fleury's CARE program students consulted with meteorologist, Mark Pellerito from the National Weather Service in Binghamton about the local propensity for flooding. Students are continuing to address the question, "How do you motivate people to act to extreme weather events?"

This is made possible through the Federal Community Eligibility Provision (CEP). We do ask all families to complete the Eligibility Form linked below which is an essential tool that helps us to ensure the district continues to receive its fair share of state aid revenue.
